Registering at www.rasagepoulin.com

    In order to use this Web site to make purchases you must first complete the registration form. During registration you are required to give contact information (including name, phone number, shipping, billing and email addresses). This information will be used to process the sale of the items that you wish to purchase and to ship your order to you once it has been completed.

    During the registration process you will be able to subscribe to the newsletter and/or product updates emails. If you do not wish to receive these emails, please ensure the appropriate checkboxes are selected. You also have the ability to sign up for our newsletter if you are not a registered user. If you are not a registered user we will collect your email for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. Once you are registered you are able to manage which emails you receive, should you later change your mind about receiving these email communications, by logging in to your My Profile page on the site, or by following the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email communication.

    If you are not a registered user but have signed up to receive our newsletter you may unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email communication.  When the registration process is complete you will receive an automated email with the details of the information you provided during the registration process, with the exception of your password. Please ensure you write down your password and store it in a safe place.

We may send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so.  For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. 

Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature.  If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.


Personally Identifiable Information

    Rasage Poulin requires you to supply personally identifiable information in order to use this site to make merchandise purchases or to check your gift certificate balance. The information collected may consist of the following: name, phone number, billing and shipping address, voucher code, email address and (if you use a credit card) your credit card information. Rasage Poulin does not store your credit card number or any other financial information. Financial/credit card information is collected only to pass to PayPal for payment processing.

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at scott@rasagepoulin.com.  We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.


Gift Certificates

    If you purchase a gift certificate for a friend you will be asked for their first name, last name, phone number and email address. This information is used for the purpose of sending them the gift certificate that you purchased for them or to contact them in the event that the email is returned to us as undeliverable. Please ensure you enter the email address of the gift certificate recipient correctly.  Rasage Poulin stores [or does not store] this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.

Your friend may contact us at scott@rasagepoulin.com to request that we remove this information from our database.


Customer Testimonials


We post customer testimonials on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information.  We do obtain the customer's consent via email prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along with their testimonial.


Wishlist

    Rasage Poulin does not have access to any information stored in your wishlist; this data is maintained solely by you.


Communication

    Rasage Poulin will communicate with you by email for the following: order confirmation email, order processing difficulties, registration confirmation and to deliver (to those who have subscribed) newsletters and/or product update announcements. You may at any time opt-in or out of newsletters and product update announcements by logging in to your My Profile page and changing your newsletter preferences, or by following the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each communication.


My Profile Privacy and Maintenance

    Rasage Poulin does not have access to your password. In the event that you are unable to remember your login details you may use the Password Reset feature on the site to obtain assistance to log in. Rasage Poulin cannot manually reset your password. If you are unable to retrieve your login information in this manner, you may re-register on the site. The information in your profile is maintained to facilitate shipping, provide customer service and track your order history.


Personally Identifiable Information Sharing and Disclosure

    Rasage Poulin does pass personally identifiable information to third parties who provide services on our behalf. The information passed to those parties consists of some or all of the following: name, phone number, billing and shipping address, credit card number (including expiry date and CVV2) and email address. The third parties that Rasage Poulin may share this information with is limited to the following: a credit card processing company, PayPal, Canada Post, United Parcel Service, or a manufacturer of a product you purchased if you are making a warranty claim or customer service inquiry that requires this information to be shared to facilitate fulfilling your claim or answering your inquiry. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for promotional purposes.


Aggregate Information Handling

    Rasage Poulin may collect data relating to usage of the site that is not personally identifiable and is not linked to any personally identifiable information. This data is shared with the following third party(ies); Google Inc. and AddThis, LLC. From time to time Rasage Poulin may choose to share information that is not personally identifiable with other third parties. In the event that another third party is added, this list will be updated.


Logfiles

    As is true of most Web sites, Rasage Poulin gathers certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and version, Internet service provider (ISP), referring, landing and exit pages, operating system, date and time stamp, and clickstream data. This information, which does not identify individual users, analyzes trends, assists in administration of the site, illustrates and tracks users’ movements around the site and gathers demographic information about the site’s user base as a whole.

    This automatically collected data is never linked to personally identifiable information by Rasage Poulin for any purposes in day-to-day operation but Rasage Poulin may share any information collected with law enforcement agencies or financial institutions investigating allegations of fraud or illegal transactions when required to do so by law, the relevant jurisdiction for such requests being Calgary, Alberta Canada.
