I normally stay away from non-tallow soaps; however, I'm glad I tried this. I soaked it before my first use, and the lather just about exploded when my brush hit it. It created a thick, rich, and creamy lather with little effort. The lather was slick, cushiony, and worked well. I wouldn't say it was particularly moisturizing or not, just kind of neutral. So, if you're looking for a moisturizing soap, this may not be for you. It does have its own scent. Kind of hard to describe. It reminds me of alum, but not quite, with a bit of soapiness. Either way, it doesn't leave any scent when you're done so it's probably a moot point. I've been using it for about two weeks now, and there is little to no wear on the puck. And the puck is good sized to begin with: 150g. For comparison, Tabac is a 125g puck, and GFT is 80g.

The container may not be the fanciest thing in the world, but it holds a quality soap. It leaves my face feeling smooth, sealed, and snug. If you're looking for a quality soap that's different from the herd, this may just be for you. I know its for me!
