Thiers Issard Singing 7/8 Straight Razor, Hook Nose, Blond Horn Scales, Le Canadien

I was quite impressed with this razor on a couple of points. First I was a little nervous about the notched end, but it proved to not be an issue. Next was the look and feel of this razor. It has a nice weight to it, and fits my large hands much more comfotably than some others. Both the blade and horn scales are a little heavier than I was used to, but it is well balanced, and the weight seems to have a smoothing effect on the shaving strokes. The blade seems to glide easier over my face with less chatter over the beard, on the passes across, and against the grain. Very pleased with this razor, and it has become one of my favorites to use.
